CrateFire · Privacy policy

Your sound.
Your device.

CrateFire is built as a focused, on-device studio. Your projects, samples, and recordings do not need to pass through Red Door Apps to become music.

The short version

Creative work
stays under your control.

CrateFire does not require an account, carry advertising, or upload your projects and audio to Red Door Apps. Files leave the app only when you choose to save, export, share, or back them up.

01

Information we collect

CrateFire does not require an account. Red Door Apps does not use CrateFire to collect personal information, track you across apps or websites, deliver advertising, or build an advertising profile.

The current version does not include third-party advertising or analytics services. If that changes, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures will be updated before the change takes effect.

02

Projects and creative work

Patterns, scenes, kits, project settings, imported samples, rendered audio, and recordings you create in CrateFire are stored on your device. Red Door Apps does not receive or store that creative work on its servers.

If you export, share, move, or back up a project or audio file, the destination you choose and Apple's system services control what happens to that file after it leaves CrateFire.

03

Files you choose

CrateFire can ask iPadOS to let you choose an audio file for import. The app receives access only to the file or files you select and uses them to create or edit sounds inside your project.

CrateFire does not upload imported audio to Red Door Apps. Your use of imported material remains subject to the rights and permissions that apply to that material.

04

Recordings and exports

CrateFire can capture and render audio produced within the app. Those files remain on your device unless you deliberately save, export, or share them. Red Door Apps does not listen to, analyze, or receive your recordings.

05

Support messages

If you email Red Door Apps for support, we receive the information you include, such as your email address, device details, and the contents of your message. We use that information to answer your request and troubleshoot the issue.

Support messages are retained only as reasonably necessary to provide support, maintain a record of the conversation, and meet legal obligations. Do not send private projects or audio unless they are necessary to explain the problem.

06

Apple services and backups

Apple may process information relating to App Store distribution, purchases, device backups, diagnostics, or other system services under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. Those services are controlled by Apple and your device settings, not by Red Door Apps.

07

Retention and deletion

You control the CrateFire projects and audio stored on your device. You may delete individual files in the app or in the destination where you saved them. Removing CrateFire deletes app data stored within the app, but files you exported elsewhere remain until you delete them there.

08

Children’s privacy

CrateFire is not directed specifically to children under 13, and Red Door Apps does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

09

Changes to this policy

If CrateFire's data practices change, this policy will be updated before the new practices take effect. The effective date on this page will show when the policy was last revised.
