The photograph
stays with you.

VintVue is designed as an on-device tool. It does not need an account, a cloud service, or a profile of you to reveal the image inside a negative.

The short version

On your iPhone.
Under your control.

VintVue processes the camera view locally and saves a photograph only when you ask it to. Red Door Apps does not receive your images or collect personal information through VintVue.

01

Camera access

VintVue uses your iPhone camera only when you choose to view or photograph a film negative. The live image is processed on your device so the negative can be displayed as a positive image.

Camera images are not uploaded to Red Door Apps or processed on an external server.

02

Photo library access

If you choose to save a photograph, VintVue asks iOS for permission to add that image to the photo library on your device. Saved photographs remain under your control in Apple Photos.

Red Door Apps does not receive, copy, or store photographs from your photo library.

03

Information we collect

VintVue does not require an account and does not collect personal information. The current version does not include advertising, analytics, tracking, crash-reporting services, or cloud storage.

Red Door Apps does not sell personal information and does not share VintVue user data with data brokers, advertisers, or analytics providers.

04

Storage, retention, and deletion

Because VintVue does not send images or personal information to Red Door Apps, we do not maintain a server-side record to retain or delete.

You can delete saved photographs in Apple Photos and change VintVue's Camera or Photos permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Removing the app deletes information kept within the app itself, while photographs you intentionally saved remain in your photo library until you delete them.

05

Children’s privacy

VintVue is not directed specifically to children and does not collect personal information from users, including children.

Changes to this policy

If VintVue's data practices change, this policy will be updated before the new practices take effect. The effective date at the top of this page will show when the policy was last revised.
